What is a “Holiday Edition” you ask? Think the chocolate aisle in Rite-Aid. All the good stuff, wrapped up all pretty in a bow. Of course, there are only a few DJ’s who can live up to these mighty Holiday standards.
• Ryan Kick (tango recordings, kolour records) Troy
You may remember in July when Ryan, Lazer & Blazer killed the Discotheque afterparty, or Properly Chilled at the Thursday Mix-up. This month they’re taking the controls and putting it on blast so you can dance off that deep-fried Turkey guilt. We are thankful.
The second installment of T.J.S.H.T.O.A/O.A.S. is totally online. Totally.

Starting after Labor Day, Nate da Great and White Lotus throw down funk, hip hop, disco and woah every Thursday at 9pm at Daisy Baker’s. For real, son.
Every week this fall come drink a beer, max out and listen to live music selections from White Lotus and Nate da Great. These two know good music for real. Nate da Great had one of the best hip hop shows e.v.e.r. on WRPI, and White Lotus is a regional veteran of rhyme-spitting and wax-scratching.
It’s like woah.
Daisy Bakers’s
Every Thursday, Starting 9/10/09
9pm to 1am

White Lotus (he plays the music in your mind.)
CML (grooved out funk and breaks. )
mcgillicuddy (she plays the music in her mind, but it works out in your mind too. )
It’s summer. You like locally brewed beer. The Hudson looks great right after sunset. You like to dance. White Lotus is a crazy DJ. CML plays records you’ve never heard before. McGillicuddy will make you dance. Usually we’d dress up those words with much more what-not that potentially would say the same thing, but that’s all you really need to know. Someone told me repetition is good:
Summer. Beer. Music. Deck. River. Dancing.
This Saturday at Brown’s. 9pm. FREE
