January 19th we are taking over the downstairs of Valentines in Albany as part of the Metroland benefit show, Feedback 2. We have been getting alot of support and recognition for what we have been doing in Troy, and we owe a huge thank you to everyone who had been trying to support us and what we are trying to bring to our fair town of troy. So, yea, Thank you!
If you dont know us, then this little post is to give you a bit of a sneak peek.

back from japan

This guy uses real records, can you BELEIVE that shit!? He’s the person I would blame for me becoming a DJ. I wouldn’t know anything about this whole goodship thing if it wasn’t for kevin, or for happy hour at browns for that matter. Here is a live Mix of his from our big show with Tittsworth in November.
back from japan - Live at Revolution Hall ((11-19-07) with Tittsworth)

jenkins

Thats me. I’m 22 and i started DJ’ing about 6 months ago. Here is a live mix from our show with Tittsworth, along with a whole slew of original mashups and simple bmore edits. None of them are exactly finished…. I usually get interested in making something new before i end up putting the final touches on things.

jenkins - Live at Revolution Hall((11-19-07 with Tittsworth))

jenkins - We Are Your Funk(demo)

jenkins - Come on Feel the Bmore (demo)

jenkins - Flat Eleven (demo)

The Jesse Stilles 3000+

Do you know what a wooly mammoth sounds like? this guy fucking does. FOR REAL. He made the sound of the wooly mammoth for hundreds of children to enjoy and experience history.
Not to mention he is one of the nicest dudes ever and always up for playing.
He used to specialize in melting faces, and then he got so proficient at melting faces, that he just straight up removes them now. He sometimes rolls with that Curtis Bahn hombre, who is as we all know the dopest kid on the block.

Also, if you ever bump into him, ask him about India, and monkeys. I know it sounds odd but i assure you, the stories will be worth it.

Im pretty sure this guy has a large assortment of stylish caps, if not, then every time I see him he is rockin the same stylish cap, which I cannot complain about. I still don’t get how one comfortably situates headphones on while sportin the fedora, but perhaps that is just something way out of my league. His caps are nice, but his records are better. Lil’ scratchin here, some horns there, its good stuff. It really warms up the crowd when i have seen him spin and its nice to hear something different (in my opinion). I listen to way to much heavy dance stuff.

The ChrisMix

McGillicuddy

Desk jockey by day, cryptozoologist by night. She staunchly supports that she isnt “really” a DJ, but I don’t think she gives herself enough credit. Song selection is way more important than scratching or hot mixes in my opinion, and she totally nails it with the familiar party starters. Going from the 50’s rock bop to our favorite 80’s, a great bunch of tunes that gets the floor warmed up.

skfl

Some people know him as the illusive murph-Dog, others unfortunately, do not. An all around heavy hitter and king of the video, skfl never lets down. If you like bright melted colors and your on acid, you’ll love the stuff. If your not on acid, you might think your on acid. I always find his video to be kind of one of those seeing eye puzzles, if i look for the images i cant find them, but if i just take in the whole image as one they eventually flow in and out of my vision briefly and its a really cool effect.
checkout some of his video here.

VJ fielderblank and DJ orangecookie

rise set twilight is the multimedia project of Linda Aubry and Michael T. Bullock. Layering analog and digital synthesis, feedback, field recordings and projections, rise set twilight manifests in several ways: in multimedia performance installations; as the dance party unit of DJ orangecookie and VJ Fielder Blank; and as a straight-up noise duo (AKA Barkhausen).
orangecookie = 80’s-drenched, nerd-tweaked ( i.e. Bladerunner theme), dance-centric with live improvised layers floating around like luminescent seaweed.
Fielder Blank is Michael T. Bullock playing video, right now, behind you.

check them out here.
Also, checkout one of their lives sets, EYEWASH@Monkeytown, Brooklyn NYC.

lmnopf

I tried to write something to describe these chaps, and it just wasn’t nearly good enough. So, I went ahead and asked some of the goodship army and various friends to describe them in one sentence.
Jesse Stiles:: “lmnopf is a collective of unwashed visual artists who exist in time and occasionally space.”
Ray Cutler:: “abcdte.”
Michael Bullock “lmnopf is not a man - he is men; he doesn’t have video; he IS video.”

My personal opinion on the group can be summed up with this image:

Checkout some awesome sample video, and audio from back from japan here and here

Color Commentary

Color Commentary, aka Derek Sweeney. This is what hebephrenic dreams would smell like if they were deliberate accidents made by mischievous computers and whispered into your eyehole at just the right angle. But only sometimes.

Im pretty sure that about sums it up for what you are going to be indulging in at the metroland show. If any issues with information posted here, or media posted here, get at me and ill fix it up. thanks!!!
Hope to see you guys there dancing your pants off!
